TOOLING AND WOrKhOLDING Collet BloCks for Multiple-part MaChining Hardinge offers pneumatic and hydraulic collet blocks for milling, drilling, grinding, inspection and assembly applications. The collet blocks use standard collets including 1C, 3C, 5C, 16C, 3J, 22J, 35J and FlexC 42- and 65-mm versions. Hydraulic and pneumatic accessories are available for building custom configurations, and the company also provides turnkey systems. Editor The pneumatic collet block systems consist of a subplate for mounting the collet blocks and a control valve to clamp and unclamp the part. One valve can clamp and unclamp all parts simultaneously or multiple valves can be used to control each block or row of blocks independently.
