The Revelations software package sits between the operator or programmer and the FANUC control, enabling the user to correct problems in real time during the grind cycle. The program automatically generates the G code necessary to make adjustments in part production or remedy errors with feedback, without the need to reprogram macros or canned cycles. The program's FOSC function adapts each triangular motion during oscillation to correct bore-grinding problems, including tapered bores, bores that are closed in or opened up on either or both ends, and concave or convex bores. The FOSC u s e s ac c e l e rati o n a n d d e c e l e rati o n at the end of each stroke to correct hourglass or barrel-shaped bores. It can also be used to create a specific grind angle. For wheel corner breakdown, the function changes the endpoints of the Z axis to create longer strokes and compensate for harder material on either end of the bore. According to the company, the FOSC function reduces cycle times and scrap, and decreases the frequency of user intervention. Revelations and FOSC are designed for the qualit y and
