Users can create custom macros for insertion into G code or formatted programs. Post-processing suppor t is now compatible with Mastercam CAD/CAM software support from NCI files; with Open Mind's hyperMILL postprocessing from POF files; and with Delcam's PowerMILL CAM software for milling from CUT files for 3+2 milling, five-axis milling and canned cycles. Additional upgrades include stock creation for the main and subspindle, as well as new material removal simulation. An enhanced simulation progress display shows nested program cells, and added regeneration controls show the active program and current location with the line number within the program. The software offers 64-bit support to accommodate larger programs and provide improved performance. Methods Machine Tools Inc. , call 877-668-4262 or visit methodsmachine.com. Customizable PostProCessor for Cam PaCkages DMG/Mori Seiki offers the Mori-APT toolpathbased postprocessor as part of its integrated Manufacturing Suite of applications. The universal postprocessor will be available for all Mori Seiki machines and will work with any CAM software that outputs toolpaths in Mori-APT standardized format, the company says. The software comes with post templates to output NC code for all Mori Seiki machines. The postprocessor can import the standardized tool path from virtually any CAM software and generate NC code using the included post template. Customers will need the Mori-APT CLDATA interface-enabled version of their respective CAM software as well as the postprocessor software. CAM software products currently offering this interface include CAMWorks, FeatureCAM, GibbsCAM, and Mastercam, among others. The postprocessor includes additional software application modules such as NC simulation for virtual machine NC code and collision detection verification, and a "program manager" for sending and receiving NC programs and parameters between PC and machine tools.
