It of fers multi-position contact from vertical to horizontal and full work movement from left to right. The grinder is designed for aggressive grinding and beveling with the platen in place. Remove the platen, and the narrow belt allows slack-belt grinding and finishing of tight inside-radius parts. The BG142 grinder features a 1" × 42" grinding belt with 6" × 2", serrated, 70-duro contact wheel; a removable platen; and a 1 3 / 4 " × 4" worktable. A 1 / 2 -hp, 110-V TEFC motor delivers a speed of 5,400 sfm. Kalamazoo Industries Inc., call 800-592-2050 or visit kalamazooind.com. BELT GRINDER OFFERS MULTI-POSITION CONTACT wheel change-overs and further enhance accuracy. Holroyd's touchscreen programming system is said to provide complete control over produc- tion accuracies as well as on-screen modification of profile forms for the rapid evaluation of new profile shapes during the development and proto - typing stages. Control via a menu-driven system is said to ease the profile modification process. Also notable is capability for automatic touch probing of the tool profile during the grinding cycle. After probing, the actual tool profile is graphically superimposed over the theoretical profile and displayed within user-defined tolerance bands to ensure that all cutter blades are ground within tightly controlled limits. Indexing and multi-pass grinding/trimming cycles are also fully automated. The machine can sharpen cutters with as many as 29 blades. The cutter indexing process is automatic. The cutter is located on an HSK-A160 arbor for precise positioning on the 8E X rotor milling machine or on other rotor millers employ- ing the same arbor. The maximum profile height is 120 mm. Designed with ergonomics in mind, the machine features a solid cast iron base for rigidity and thermal stability. Total machine guarding offers flood-cooling capability. Large sliding doors and GRINDER PROFILES LARGE- DIAMETER, HELICAL CUTTERS Holroyd Precision's CS700E Tool Management Centre is a large-diameter tool-grinding machine designed for high-accuracy profile forms on finish milling cutters ranging to 700 mm in diameter. The machine incorporates automatic dressing stations to ensure integrity of the grinding wheel at all times. The stations are equipped to dress aluminum oxide, cubic boron nitride (CBN) and diamond grinding wheels. HSK-A160 arbors (as fitted to 8EX rotor milling machines) enable rapid
