REDUCES CYCLE TIMES FOR
CBN WORKPIECES
United Grinding introduces its Mikrosa Kronos
S 250 centerless grinding machine, which uses
angular plunging designed for corundrom and
C B N g r i n d i n g i n h i g h - p r e c i s i o n a n d m a s s -
production applications. The grinder features a
grinding spindle mounted on maintenance-free
hy br id rolle r be ar ings for pe r iphe ral spe e ds
ranging to 150 m/sec. The company's CBN high-
speed technology is said to reduce cycle and
setup times.
The grinder is designed for plunge and through
grinding of workpieces with diameters ranging
from 0.059" to 1.378" (1.5 to 35 mm) with a plunge
