He has been with the company for more than 14 years, having previously served as executive officer of DMG MORI USA as well as executive officer of the international legal department and interna- tional human resources department for DMG MORI Co. Ltd. Mr. Nudo was part of the team that was respon- sible for implementing the company's joint ven- ture. Under his direction, its mission will be to deliver customer service and machine tool tech- nology through direct sales and strengthen its foundation in the United States. The company says it looks forward to integrating Mr. Nudo's strategies for providing customer support while continuing to grow its existing relationships within the industry. | DMG MORI USA Inc. 847-593-5400 dmgmori-usa.com Amada Miyachi Expands Detroit Technical Center Amada Miyachi America (Monrovia, California), a manufacturer of resistance welding, laser weld- ing, marking, cutting and micromachining equip- ment, has recently expanded and enhanced its Detroit, Michigan, technical center. The updated facility now features 5,500 square feet of labora- tory space devoted to application development services for welding, marking, ablation, scribing and texturing of metals and plastics. Also on site is an expanded metallurgical lab for examining laser or resistance welds to analyze weld penetra- tion and joint quality. Application experts are on hand to work with customers to develop next-generation joining or marking processes, especially for medical, aero- space, automotive and electric vehicle battery production and joining of cells. The expanded lab facility offers expertise and access to equipment so that customers do not have to tie up their exist- ing production facilities.
