The machines are designed for high operational efficiency, simple and logical operation, flexibility, rigid machine construction, B-axis versatility and Y-axis control for backworking. They can pro- duce complex parts in one operation with pre- cision and accuracy, and machine parts from difficult cutting materials. The company says its motion control system optimizes operations and reduces idle machine time as well. | Star CNC Machine Tool Corp. | South, Level 3, Booth 338874 Turning Centers Feature Y Axis, Larger Part Capacity Doosan Machine Tools' Lynx 2100LY series of compact turning centers with a Y axis features a variety of tool holders (both static and live tools), a tool setter, a parts catcher and a parts conveyor. The machines' 15-kw (20-hp) spindle rotates at a maximum of 4,500 rpm. It features a larger turning capacity than previous models while maintaining the same footprint. An additional Y axis and optional sub- spindle speed and simplify machining of parts with diverse and complex shapes, the company says. Other standard features include a 12-station, servo-driven BMT tool turret with a half index feature in 24 positions, Easy Operation Package (EOP) software and a CNC tailstock. The turning center is designed with a rigid bed structure and incorporates roller-type LM guides for all axes.
