MMS AUGUST 2018 266 IMTS 2018 Fabricating Laser Products Offer Precise, Repeatable Marking Dapra Marking Systems's fiber laser marking products are customizable for accurate, efficient part marking and traceability. The laser part marking and deep engraving systems speed cycle times and offer precise, repeatable, high-contrast marking of materials including hardened and stainless steel, anodized aluminum, copper and pre- cious metals, and plastics. Software is designed to enable easy logo import, serialization, date coding, Data Matrix codes, and UID and UDI syntax. Laser products range from turnkey, Class 1 workstations with safety enclo- sures to open-style Class 4 configura- tions and fully integrated systems. The company's flexible core product offerings can be tailored to a customer's requirements. Options include industrial fiber and DPSS laser sources ranging from 3 to 100 W with choice of lens and power source; manual or power programmable Z axis with 12" of standard travel; a rotary D axis for marking round parts as large as 22 lbs; and industrial fume extractors. | Dapra Marking Systems | North, Level 3, Booth 236246 Picosecond Laser Uses Cold Processing to Add Precision Trumpf's TruMicro 2000 is a picosecond laser for appli- cations including metal engraving, cutting thin films, and corrosion-free marking of medical instruments and chrome-plated plastics. It emits short laser pulses rang- ing from 0.4 to 20 picoseconds and has a peak power of 20 microjoules. This enables the laser to perform cold processing, meaning it performs the task before the material begins to register a thermal process. This is said to reduce the occurrence of unde- sirable thermal effects such as microfissures and residual melt, enabling precise applications including smooth surfaces and deep-black markings. The laser can accomplish microprocessing applica- tions such as structuring, cutting and ablation. A "Pulse on Demand" feature applies the laser pulse to a desired location with micron accuracy, enabling precise work on a variety of materials. The laser also has double power regulation that enables the operator to precisely set the power from pulse to pulse. | Trumpf Inc. | North, Level 3, Booth 236217 Dual-Swivel Band Saw Designed for Versatility, Precision DoAll's DS-600SA Structur- All dual-swivel band saw is designed for cutting linear and angular material. The semi-automatic, dual-mi- ter, metalcutting band saw has a machine rectangle capacity of 18" × 23 1 / 2 " (460 × 600 mm), a round tube capacity of 18" (460 mm) and a round solid capacity of 15 3 / 4 " (400 mm). The saw can perform miter angle cuts as large as 60 degrees left and right. The band saw comes with a digital readout (DRO) that enables users to verify exact cutting angles. It is also a horizontal-structural scissor saw for machine shops, repair facilities and industrial manufacturing plants that need to occasionally cut solid metal and profile material. Accessories are available to customize the machine for specific sawing requirements. | DoAll Sawing Products | North, Level 3, Booth 237067
