The company says that the most noticeable change will be the new user interface, which utilizes the more modern ribbon bar style found commonly in many applications. Version 31 contains powerful new features for designing and machining that are intended to benefit two- to five-axis job shop manu- facturers. Updates include raster-to-vector conversion to change JPEG files and similar images into CAD files; fly cutting for laser cutting on thin material and the ability to pierce without slowing down or stopping the cutting head; Design2Fab 6 integration, enabling operators to access fittings from ProNest; and drag rotation for faster manual nesting and better plate utilization. Operators can use updated ProNest LT and ProNest LTS for lighter production environments. The software includes features that facilitate cutting process automation and expand operator capabil- ity through Industry 4.0 integration with ERP/MRP systems.
