SHOP TALK MMS NOVEMBER 2018 60 mmsonline.com Industry News Kern Precision Partners with Innolite in North America Kern Precision Inc. (KPI) of Chicago, Illinois, has entered into a distribution partnership with Innolite GmbH of Aachen, Germany, for the North American market. Toni Mangold, sales director of Kern USA, and Dr. Christian Wenzel, CEO of Inno- lite, signed the corresponding agreement in April 2018. As a result, both company representatives have expressed hope that they will improve their offerings in the field of ultra-precision machin- ing, as in the manufacture of optics. The acquisition and execution of joint projects will be overseen by the experienced KPI Area Sales Manager Gary Zurek. "We can now provide a combination of Kern high-precision machining centers and Innolite diamond machining centers for this extremely demanding market segment," Mr. Zurek says. "Our initial user tests have shown that we can undercut the usual processing times, in some cases by more than 50 percent, while achieving maximum reliability thanks to proven and standardized interfaces." According to the company, this partnership will enable customers to work more f lexibly and achieve significant productivity gains. | Kern Precision Inc. 331-979-0954 kern-microtechnik.com Röhm Acquires Master WorkHolding Röhm Products of Amer- ica Inc. has acquired Master WorkHolding Inc.
