The arms prevent inter ference with oil hole journals and provide easy vertical loading of the workpiece. Available in standard gripping diameters from 0.39" to 5.59" (10 to 142 mm), the rests can accommodate eccentric throw with body modi- fications for crank lobe clearance. Coated with abrasive-resistant nickel, the adapters can be used with all Carmex standard thread-turning inserts in 16-, 22- and 27-mm sizes. The 16-mm grooving inserts fit the MLR-L 16-32 and MLR-L 16-40 adapters. The inser ts can reduce inventor y, thereby saving appreciable costs.
