The expansion is in response to the company's business growth and the release of several new products. According to President Frank Pedef lous, sales of its ultrasonic cleaning systems have grown 20 percent in the last two years, prompting the need for additional production staff and capacity. The 4,000-square-foot plant is the firm's second production facility and will employ five staff members, who will fabricate several of the company's machine models. "We chose this particular area because of its impressive talent pool with ultrasonic cleaning expertise," Mr. Pedef lous says. Abco will add the company's simulation software to its service offerings, which also include field support, on-site installation, laser safety, system training, project manage- ment and engineering. Visual Components combines the engineering disciplines of material flow, robotics simulation and controls validation into one platform.
