The Micro Burraway series of tools will deburr both sides of holes ranging in diame- ter from 0.040" to 0.092" (1.00 to 2.33 mm). The deburring tools are designed for applications such as medical parts, automo- tive parts and electronics, which can require small, precise holes. Materials can include aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium and composites. The line features replaceable cartridges that include the arbor and blade in addition to a holder that accommodates all the different cartridges. | Cogsdill Tool Products Inc. | 803-438-4000 cogsdill.com Reduced-Size Vise Provides Strong Clamping Kurt has released the DX4 Crossover vise, a reduced-size version of its DX6 Crossover vise. The system is designed to achieve high levels of workholding strength and perfor- mance where flatness and parallelism are needed. The vise is designed for the precision requirements of CNC production and toolroom applications, replacing the D40 vise with enhanced features. It has a larger jaw opening than the D40 (6.5" compared to 3.75") but the same bed height and distance from keyway to station- ary jaw. It is available in a manual model, plus manual reverse model for easier part programming in Y-axis positive direction. The system is a combination of a two-top-bolt sta- tionary jaw with the Anglock and Pull-Type designs from Kurt's D-series and 3400V vises. These features provide all-directional clamping alignment, downward force- reducing jaw deflection and reduced stress in the body while maintaining flatness after assembly. Its two-bolt stationary jaw design further reduces jaw deflection. With enlarged jaw-holding capacity, the system features a full 6.5" jaw opening within the inside jaw position. A lighter and narrower vise body, featuring a footprint of 4.962" × 12.50", allows for more vises on the machine table.
