Laser Engraving Solution Combines Technologies for Affordability Alliance Laser Sales says laser engraving is an efficient and accurate technology for achieving clean, crisp logos, markings or part numbers for various materials. How- ever, manufacturers sometimes use difficult-to-program CNC processes or experience limitations with other engraving technologies when parts that are too large or too heavy rule out the use of a traditional closed engrav- ing system. A new laser engraving solution marries the technol- ogy of the past with that of the future, while maintain- ing affordability. The NGRV2 laser engraving system from Alliance, which the company calls "the mold- maker's laser engraver," retrofits a Bridgeport-style machine with an IPG laser, a scan head and Alliance software for design and implementation. The system features a 36 in. 2 field size, programmable X and Y travel for a larger engraving surface area, automated rotary function, 750-lb weight capacity and intuitive software. | Alliance Laser Sales | 847-487-1945 alliancelasersales.com | Booth 131 Machine Monitoring Software Enables Remote Status Updates Heidenhain will introduce its StateMonitor software to enable users to view data and evaluate control pro- cesses remotely and in real time. The software is an option with Heidenhain TNC controls and is designed for CNC manufacturing personnel who are implementing connected systems as part of an Industry 4.0 initiative. The software captures, visualizes and evaluates the status of connected machines and displays it on any net- worked terminals, including remote devices such as tab- lets, smartphones and PCs. This enables users the flexibil- ity to display current machine status on multiple devices and from outside the workshop, displaying the status of connected machines visually as charts and graphs. StateMonitor is part of the company's Connected Machining functional package, which combines solu- tions for the individual networking of production equip- ment. The package includes the Heidenhain DNC inter- face, the Remote Desktop Manager and the enhanced display function Extended Workspace as well as other applications with which the TNC user can receive and use digital job data in the workshop. | Heidenhain Corp. | 847-490-1191 heidenhain.us | Booth 248 AMERIMOLD MMS JUNE 2018 188 mmsonline.com
