When you think about a typical company, oftentimes the manufacturing floor is on the other side of the firewall from the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial systems, which are very well protected. The fac- tory floor is comprised of CNCs, computer-con- trolled assets, and it would be very easy to implement a bug or virus into that chain, to basically start to create scrap. The question is, how do you isolate assets on the manufactur- ing floor the same way you isolate financial systems?"
